Let me spin you out… As children we are literally egocentric which means we believe the world revolves around us. It has to in order for us to survive and to learn. But that means a lot of the conditioning and negative programming becomes stuck as “us.” We believe we are the ones who are wrong because it is too terrifying to believe that the people meant to keep us alive are flawed. So my child self learned: Don’t want too much. Don’t take up space. Don’t be the centre. Don’t be too much. Don’t be a problem. Because if you do, you will get hurt. Then i grew up, and manifestation found me! And manifestation is suddenly asking me to do the one thing i was punished for as a child: BE THE CENTRE. Want openly. Believe the world revolves around me. But subconsciously I’m thinking what?????? I learned that was bad I was always to blame it that centred space. So now I have this inner war: one part of me trying to live as if the world revolves around me, the other part still stuck in the sabotaging patterns and the wounds. And this is why I have some success... and then I ruin it. I hit the income goal and theeeeen crash. I call in the relationship, and theeeeen pick it apart. I launch the thing and theeeeeen sabotage it. It is not a mindset problem. It is not a discipline problem. It is not that I don’t believe. It is that two parts of me believe two opposite things and the wounded one is older and louder. And running the show from underneath. 🤍 If this has blown your mind… you don’t have a manifestation problem, you have a younger version of you still bracing for punishment every time you dare to want and be the centre. And that very concept is keeping the fear wound alive without you realising… Act as if the house wasn’t a battlefield. Act as if mum was emotionally available. Act as if dad wasn’t terrifying. Act as if I was fine so I didn’t attract attention. Act as if I was happy so I didn’t upset my parents even more. Act as if I didn’t need anything. Act as if I was fine fine fine fine fine. I had a PhD in “act as if” by the time I was eight. So when manifestation coaches tell me to act as if I already have the relationship, the money, the body, the life: my body doesn’t hear manifestation, my body hears here we go again, another performance, another beautiful house with a nightmare inside. And then it sabotages everything I’m trying to manifest because to my nervous system, performing means we’re not safe. Performing means something is wrong. Performing means keep lying or we’ll get hurt. YOU are not bad at manifesting. You are doing the exact survival strategy you used as a child, and your nervous system is reading it as danger, because the last time you performed this hard, you were trying to keep a house standing.
